Guide Traveling With Supplements

Keep your supplement routine on the road
Travel disrupts routines — including supplement routines. With a little planning, you can maintain consistent daily supplementation whether you're on a business trip, holiday, or long-haul flight. Here's how.
Before you travel
Plan your supply
Count the days you'll be away and pack exactly that many capsules plus two extra (in case of delays). Nutri-Leaf products come in compact containers, but for longer trips, consider a small travel organiser to save space.
Check local regulations
Food supplements are legal and unregulated for personal use in virtually all countries. EU travel within the Schengen area is straightforward. For travel outside the EU, check the destination country's rules, but personal-use quantities of food supplements rarely cause issues.
During travel
Carry in hand luggage
Keep supplements in your carry-on bag, not checked luggage. Checked bags can be delayed or lost; your daily routine shouldn't depend on them. Capsules and tablets are not subject to liquid restrictions. Keep them in original packaging or a clearly labelled organiser for easy identification at security.
Mind the time zone
If crossing time zones, simply take your daily capsule with your first meal of the day at your destination — regardless of what time your body thinks it is. One day of shifted timing makes no difference to the benefits of consistent long-term supplementation.
Stay hydrated
Air travel is dehydrating. Drink plenty of water — it helps with capsule swallowing and general wellbeing.
At your destination
- Store supplements in a cool, dry place — hotel rooms are typically fine (just avoid the bathroom and direct sunlight)
- Set a daily phone reminder if your routine is disrupted
- Pair supplement-taking with a consistent travel habit (morning coffee, breakfast)
Travel tip: A small weekly pill organiser takes up almost no space and keeps your daily routine to seconds. Fill it before you leave home and you're set for the entire trip.
